Andrew MacDonald has been in the gaming industry since 1978. He began his career as a dealer at WrestlePoint Hotel and Casino in Tasmania, Australia. At this point, WrestlePoint was the only legalized casino operating in Australia. Mr. McDonald took the position of Pit Boss at the age of 25.

In late 1985, Mr. McDonald left WrestlePoint to pursue a parallel career in the regulation of the casino industry. This led him to Queensland, Australia, where he was hired by the state casino control department. Initially, because of this work, he trained government auditors in all aspects of casino operations for both Conrad Zuppeters and Sheraton Breakwater Casino. This period also involved drafting game rules, procedures, and internal control documents. Diligently completing his work, Andrew was hired as a casino supervisor at the Jupiter Casino. This included game surveillance, audit activities, contact with casino crime investigation and contact with the public sector and senior casino officials.

In late 1986, Mr. Macdonald moved to Sydney, New South Wales, where he wanted to work similarly for the New South Wales Casino Control Division in their Darling Harbor casino project. As the project struggled for political reasons, Mr. MacDonald became involved in reviewing casino bids and used this time to greatly increase his knowledge of the industry in terms of regulation and operations. With the closure of the new south Wales casino control department in late 1987, Mr Macdonald was briefly hired by the liquor management board as a supervisor to conduct slot machine audits at registered clubs around Sydney. 슬롯머신

By 1994, McDonald was effectively the vice president of Adelaide Casino. This has seen him engage in new casino business, strategic planning, marketing, and overall development of operations. McDonald resigned from Adelaide Casino in late 1996 after being approached by the chairman of Hilton Gaming Worldwide.

In November 1996, he was appointed casino manager at Conrad Zuppeters Casino on the Queens Gold Coast.

In April 1998, Mr McDonald was offered by Crown Limited in Melbourne to join as a transition agent and strategist as a senior member of the management team. This position optimized the use of his management skills, mathematical skills, and marketing strengths. At the age of 40, he was promoted to CEO of PBL Gaming Operations, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crown's parent company, PBL. In this capacity, he is responsible for bringing PBL's gaming operations to new jurisdiction through both online gaming operations, acquisitions and evaluations of joint ventures.
